Your next go-to festive appetizer is here! These Warm Figs with Goat Cheese and Balsamic Glaze are a fantastic vegetarian and gluten-free bite that are perfect on their own or served on your favorite crackers or crostini.
Aren’t they just gorgeous?! The creamy softness of the cheese, the melt-in-your-mouth luxurious sweetness of the figs, the sour bite of the balsamic… these are absolute perfection. Adding a little touch of honey elevates these even more by bringing out some of the floral notes of your dates.

I’m all for appetizers that you can make ahead, and I always do so with these bites of yum. Just assemble right on the pan and then cover with plastic wrap or foil and keep in the fridge (or even your oven if it’s less than a couple of hours). Just remember to unwrap before you turn that heat on!
Health Benefits of Figs
Figs come packed with plenty of nutritional benefits!
Figs and Fertility
- Figs are a symbol of fertility in many cultures. They are a good source of fiber, which can help you get to and keep a healthy body weight. A healthy weight is important for fertility. Fiber is also needed for healthy digestion and to lower your risk of colorectal cancer.
Figs and Heart Health
- Figs also have potassium, a nutrient that helps lower blood pressure. This can improve sexual function. Woo hoo 😉
Figs and Bone Health
- Figs are one of the only fruits that contain calcium, which is needed for strong bones and those pearly whites. Keep smiling, baby! One cup of dried figs provides 240 mg of calcium, almost as much as a cup of milk (about 300 mg).
