My go-to morning green smoothie recipe lately is loaded with green vegetables, avocado and hemp seeds for a low sugar, chlorophyll filled start to the day! I’ve called it my Green Goddess Smoothie because it makes me feel luscious and ready to glow. Start your morning with this salad in a glass and you’ll have more energy than your coffee ever gave you.

Living greens! Fresh parsley, cucumber, spinach, celery, and the most supercharged ingredient of all… microgreens!

Health Benefits of Microgreens

Microgreens are sprouts that have hundreds of times the nutrients as the same seed would yield if it had the chance to grow into a full vegetable. That’s why I love tossing them into my smoothies, salads… everywhere I can.

Health Benefits of Avocado

I used to keep my green smoothies low fat by making them all vegetables. The downside? I’d be hungry an hour later and have to make a second breakfast. Not the greatest for productivity, is it?

Now that I’m adding half an avocado, I’m feeling full until lunch thanks to the satiating power of healthy fat!

Avocados are rich in omega-9 fatty acids, also called monounsaturated fats. These are linked to heart health and brain health. Plus, avocados are an excellent source of vitamin E for beautiful skin, hair and nails. It’s a beauty ingredient for good reason.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup baby spinach densely packed
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 1/2 cup microgreens
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/3 cucumber
  • 1/2 lime juiced
  • 2 tbsp Hemp Hearts

  1. Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy and shine on!
