Is there anything better than dipping fruit into chocolate? I have seriously considered getting a chocolate fountain to make this a daily option. But realistically, I love making my own Dark Chocolate Fondue with Fresh Fruit. It’s packed with antioxidants and feels so decadent. You won’t believe how easy it is to make!

This recipe is inspired by Lindt Canada’s Chocolate Fondue recipe (disclosure: Lindt Canada is a client).
It’s key that you make your chocolate fondue using the highest quality chocolate possible, which is why Lindt chocolate works perfectly. It has a taste that you just can’t beat, and pairs perfectly with fresh fruit from grapes and clementine slices to strawberries, kiwi and pineapple.
Check out my segment on the heart health benefits of dark chocolate on CTV Morning Live Ottawa!
You can also use apples, pears and other seasonal fruits for dipping or dried fruits such as apricots pair perfectly. I didn’t use apples and pears or bananas for my TV segment because I didn’t want them to turn brown! If you make this at home, I assure you the fruit won’t last long so you don’t need to worry about browning as much 🙂
Dark Chocolate Fondue with Fresh Fruit
If you don’t have a fondue pot, no worries… you can pour your chocolate fondue over fruit kabobs or over a platter of sliced fruit. It tastes better when its messy!

Fresh fruit and chocolate is a guaranteed love match! This is the easiest chocolate fondue or chocolate dip you'll ever make. Plus this dessert is loaded with antioxidants from the dark chocolate and colorful fruit!
|
- 2 100 gram Lindt 85% dark chocolate bars (3.5 oz bars)
- 2/3 cup coconut milk (from the carton, or almond milk or 2% milk) (160 mL)
- 4 cups sliced fresh fruit (any of your favourites such as kiwis, strawberries, pineapple, clementine slices, etc.)
- Heat the milk or coconut milk in a saucepan just until it starts to boil.
- Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir until melted.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the fondue pot and serve with fruit. If you don't have a fondue pot, drizzle the chocolate over your fruit. Dip into the chocolate and enjoy!
Is this the canned coconut milk or carton?
I used the coconut milk from the carton because it’s much lighter. You could use the canned coconut milk for a creamier, richer result!
