Green smoothies are a fantastic way to get your greens and other vegetables into your day and still get the fibre – that’s why I recommend smoothies over juicing!

If you’re not a breakfast eater or don’t get enough servings of vegetables and fruit each day, add green smoothies to your routine. They give me more energy in the morning than even coffee!

Celery Apple Spinach Almond Green Smoothie - Christy Brissette dietitian 80 Twenty Nutrition

My green smoothies always include a source of protein for extra staying power. Don’t be afraid to add 1/4 cup of almonds – you’ll benefit from protein, fibre, and heart-healthy fats that will keep you full for longer!

Try this Celery Apple Almond Green Smoothie for a healthy, energizing breakfast or snack you can feel good about. Take it with you in a glass mason jar and now there are no excuses for not eating well when you’re busy 🙂

Recipe Notes

Invest in a high quality blender and you'll be glad you did. You can use it for green smoothies, nut butters, nut milk and more! I like the Ninja Professional Blender (BL660)
and the Vitamix 5300 Blender after having tried quite a few.

This looks delicious! I love the idea of adding a handful of almonds! And I totally agree with you on choosing healthy smoothies over juices. Why waste all that good fiber?
